Gender equality may have come a long way in recent years, but gender can still play a massive role in career experiences, opportunities and trajectories.

Despite decades of progress, outdated workplace norms, unhelpful gender stereotypes and internalised social messages continue to influence most women's lives both at work and at home.

I know that it's systems, cultures and organisations - not women - that need to change. But while the big stuff remains a work in progress, equipping women with the skills and courage to navigate workplaces that were designed for and by men is both pragmatic and necessary.

H4H offerings help women identify and amplify their strengths, skills and values so they can articulate their contribution, act from a place of clarity and take charge of their lives and careers.

I started my first business 17 years ago, when my firstborn was 6 weeks old (not recommended 😜). My mission: to help women take charge of their lives and careers.

X Not by telling them that if they’re sufficiently positive, confident and determined, everything will fall into place.

X Not by promising them that if they just try hard enough, they can ‘have it all’.

X Not by pretending that their own self-talk is the only thing holding them back.

… but by recognising the reality that gendered social expectations still influence our self-perception and our life experiences.

While much of my work now is helping corporate and government organisations create more diverse and inclusive workplaces, I’ve never stopped coaching women who want more out of their lives and careers. HacksforHer is where I share what I’ve learned.
